Kit prices come from Buy Air Conditioning, with 20% VAT added to its ex-VAT listings. The Sensira kit is instead from Climate Controls & Spares, which showed it as out of stock but available to order on 20 October 2026.
Fitted prices are Costco’s installed single-split packages at 0% VAT, unless stated otherwise. They include a virtual survey, F-Gas engineer installation and either 10 m or 15 m of pipe and cable, depending on the model. They exclude the electrician’s supply to the outdoor unit and removal of an old system.
Clever Energy Boilers, updated 30 September 2026, gives broader fitted ranges: Sensira £1,500–£2,300, Perfera £1,999–£3,900, Stylish £2,100–£3,200 and Emura £2,600–£4,200.
Glow Green quotes £2,968.75 including VAT for a 3.5 kW Perfera, £668.76 above Costco’s listed price. That is why comparing what is included matters as much as comparing the headline figure.

Costco’s fitted prices range from £1,799.99 for 2.0 kW to £2,199.99 for 5.0 kW.
Check Wi-Fi connectivity before ordering. Daikin’s brochure describes it as standard, but its range page calls the app optional, while Costco lists Wi-Fi as unavailable.
Daikin Comfora prices
Comfora is a compact, budget-priced range with a SEER of 7.2 and a SCOP of 4.64 at 3.5 kW.
It carries an A++ efficiency label and has indoor sound levels down to 19 dB(A).
Kit prices at Buy Air Conditioning range from £703.87 including VAT for 2.0 kW to £1,793.66 for 7.1 kW.
Daikin Perfera prices
Perfera is the all-rounder in Daikin’s domestic range.
At 3.5 kW, it has a SEER of 9.25 and a SCOP of 5.20, giving it the best cooling efficiency figure among the six ranges compared here.
Costco’s fitted prices run from £1,999.99 for 2.0 kW to £3,199.99 for 7.1 kW.
At 7.1 kW, the specifications fall to a SEER of 6.2 and a SCOP of 4.1, so the A+++ headline efficiency rating applies to smaller capacities rather than every model.
Daikin Stylish prices
Stylish combines near-Perfera efficiency with a slimmer casing measuring 295 × 798 × 189 mm.
At 3.5 kW, it has a SEER of 8.73 and a SCOP of 5.15.
Costco fits the white version from £2,399.99 for 2.5 kW to £3,149.99 for 5.0 kW.
Our Daikin Stylish review covers its noise levels, finishes and suitability for different rooms.
Daikin Emura prices
Emura shares the Stylish’s efficiency figures, so the additional cost mainly pays for its curved design and wider, approximately 90 cm casing.
Costco lists the white Emura at £2,499.99 for 2.5 kW, £2,699.99 for 3.5 kW and £3,099.99 for 5.0 kW, fitted.
We compare the two premium ranges in Daikin Emura vs Stylish.
Daikin Ururu Sarara prices
Ururu Sarara is Daikin’s specialist wall-mounted model, offering both humidification and dehumidification.
It is available as a single-split system rather than a multi-split indoor unit.
At 3.5 kW, its SEER is 9.00 and SCOP is 5.73.
Kit prices range from £2,120.83 for 2.5 kW to £2,765.95 for 5.0 kW, including VAT.
Our Daikin Ururu Sarara review examines whether the additional features justify the price.
Daikin air conditioning prices by size
Capacity affects the installation price almost as much as the model range.
These are Costco’s fitted prices for white indoor units.
| Size | Room size, Costco guide | Sensira | Perfera | Stylish | Emura |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 2.5 kW | Up to 20 m² | £1,849.99 | £2,099.99 | £2,399.99 | £2,499.99 |
| 3.5 kW | Up to 28 m² | £1,899.99 | £2,299.99 | £2,599.99 | £2,699.99 |
| 5.0 kW | Up to 40 m² | £2,199.99 | £2,699.99 | £3,149.99 | £3,099.99 |
Moving from 3.5 kW to 5.0 kW adds £300 for a Sensira, £400 for a Perfera, £550 for a Stylish and £400 for an Emura.
However, room area alone is not enough to size an air conditioning system accurately.
Insulation, ceiling height, glazing, room orientation and internal heat gains can all affect the required capacity.
Our guide to the best air conditioning units in the UK explains how to compare systems.
How much does Daikin multi-split air conditioning cost?
A Daikin multi-split system connects multiple indoor units to one outdoor unit.
According to Daikin UK, compatible systems can connect up to five indoor units.
Costco’s installation partner, Climate by Design, lists fitted systems using Perfera indoor units.
| Rooms | Starting fitted price |
|---|---|
| 2 | £3,749.99 |
| 3 | £4,999.99 |
| 4 | £6,999.99 |
| 5 | £8,949.99 |
Heatable, updated 7 October 2026, estimates an additional £800–£1,200 per room.
What does the equipment cost?
At Air Con Spares, a Daikin 3MXM52A8 outdoor unit for three rooms costs £2,197.20 excluding VAT.
Compatible Perfera indoor units are listed at £291.60 for a 2.5 kW FTXM25A and £333.60 for a 3.5 kW FTXM35A.
Two 2.5 kW bedroom units and one 3.5 kW living-room unit total approximately £3,114 excluding VAT for those components.
Against a £4,999.99 fitted package, that leaves approximately £1,886 for pipework, electrics, labour and other installation costs.
This is an illustrative comparison, not an itemised installer quotation. Your installer must confirm the exact outdoor and indoor unit combination.
Our split vs multi-split air conditioning guide explains when one outdoor unit serving multiple rooms is the better option.

Kit only or fitted: which Daikin price should you compare?
Consider a 3.5 kW Perfera.
Buy Air Conditioning lists the equipment at £972.48 excluding VAT.
If purchased separately, standard 20% VAT adds £194.50, bringing the kit price to £1,166.98.
Costco’s fitted package is £2,299.99, with qualifying installation charged at 0% VAT.
The difference is approximately £1,133, although the two prices are not directly comparable because the separately purchased kit includes VAT while the fitted package does not.
On a consistent pre-VAT basis, the difference between the fitted package and the listed kit cost is approximately £1,328.
The Stylish and Emura produce similar installation-and-package differences of approximately £1,288 and £1,322 respectively.
The main point is that choosing a cheaper Daikin range generally saves money on the equipment rather than substantially reducing the installation work.
MyJobQuote, updated 6 October 2026, estimates engineer labour at approximately £150–£220 a day, with many installations taking four to seven hours.
The total fitted price also covers survey work, pipework, electrical requirements and installer overheads.
Our air conditioning installation cost guide explains these costs in more detail.
Is there VAT on Daikin air conditioning?
Under the published rules, qualifying supply-and-install packages for fixed air-to-air heat pumps are zero-rated for VAT until 31 March 2027.
From 1 April 2027, the reduced rate of 5% is scheduled to apply.
HMRC’s VAT Notice 708/6 explains that many fixed air conditioning units qualify as air source heat pumps because they provide heating as well as cooling.
However, equipment purchased without qualifying installation is generally subject to standard VAT.
How much does the VAT relief save?
Take a Stylish installation costing £2,599.99 before VAT.
| VAT rate | Total price |
|---|---|
| 0% | £2,599.99 |
| 5% | £2,729.99 |
| 20% | £3,119.99 |
The current zero rate is worth approximately £130 compared with the scheduled 5% rate, or £520 compared with standard 20% VAT.
We found no announcement extending the zero-rating deadline as of 20 October 2026.
Ask your installer to confirm that the proposed equipment and installation qualify.
What do Daikin air conditioners cost to run?
All six domestic Daikin ranges compared here can provide heating as well as cooling.
Their running costs depend on electricity prices, system efficiency and how much heating or cooling the room needs.
Daikin publishes two useful efficiency measures:
- SEER (Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio) measures cooling efficiency. Higher is better.
- SCOP (Seasonal Coefficient of Performance) measures heating efficiency. Higher is better.
Using Ofgem’s average electricity unit rate of 26.32p per kWh for October to December 2026, the comparison looks like this.
| Range, 3.5 kW class | SEER | SCOP | Cost per kWh of heat | Cost per kWh of cooling | Annual cost for 3,500 kWh of heat |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Sensira | 6.5 | 4.20 | 6.27p | 4.05p | £219.33 |
| Comfora | 7.2 | 4.64 | 5.67p | 3.66p | £198.53 |
| Perfera | 9.25 | 5.20 | 5.06p | 2.85p | £177.15 |
| Stylish and Emura | 8.73 | 5.15 | 5.11p | 3.01p | £178.87 |
| Ururu Sarara | 9.00 | 5.73 | 4.59p | 2.92p | £160.77 |
Illustrative costs calculated using the published seasonal efficiency ratings. Actual performance depends on outdoor temperature, installation, controls and usage.
The annual heating requirement of 3,500 kWh is an example, not a prediction for every household.
Daikin’s energy label for the 3.5 kW Stylish implies a similar heating requirement, using approximately 680 kWh of electricity at a SCOP of 5.15.
The difference between the least and most efficient models is approximately £59 annually for this example.
That means efficiency alone may not justify paying several hundred pounds more for a premium model.
However, noise, design, airflow control and additional features can also influence the decision.
The January 2027 energy price cap is due to be announced by 25 November 2026. Higher electricity rates would increase these illustrative running costs.
Our air conditioning running costs guide covers different usage patterns, while air source heat pumps vs air conditioners explains how these systems compare for heating.
What warranty comes with a Daikin air conditioner?
Daikin’s warranty arrangements depend on the product and installer.
According to Daikin UK’s installer warranty information, standard commercial warranty periods are typically one or three years, depending on the product.
Warranty coverage may increase to five years through Certified Installers and seven years through D1 or D1+ partners.
Trade supplier Ocean Air lists a three-year warranty for the Stylish.
Daikin’s separate homeowner warranty page focuses on air-to-water heat pumps rather than the air-to-air systems compared here.
Before accepting a quotation, ask the installer to confirm the exact warranty period, what it covers and whether servicing is required to maintain coverage.

Our Verdict
For most UK homes, the Daikin Perfera offers the best balance of price and efficiency.
At 3.5 kW, it has the highest cooling efficiency figure among the six ranges, with a SEER of 9.25, and costs £2,299.99 fitted at Costco.
The Stylish is worth considering if its slim 189 mm casing suits your room, while the Emura is more of a design-led choice.
The Ururu Sarara is the specialist option for households that particularly want humidity control.
The difference in running costs between the ranges is relatively small in our example, so we would focus on choosing the correct capacity, checking the installation specification and comparing fitted quotations.
