Who is iHeat?
iHeat are an online boiler installation company. Much like BOXT and Heatable, they have no field sales team so instead of home surveys to provide your quote the whole process is undertaken online. iHeat is a trading style of LeadsUK LTD, run and owned by Richard Hope since 26th July 2017. Read on to understand more about iHeat boiler installations, how much they cost, specific deals available and how previous customers rate their service through independent review sites like TrustPilot.
How does iHeat work?
iHeat offer a very simple proposition for new boiler installation: instant online quote for fixed price boilers, with next day installation available and a variety of ways to pay including 0% finance options available.
The first step is to answer a few questions online so they can understand your requirements and offer you their best price. iHeat don’t undertake a timely (and expensive) home survey to compile your quote, they have instead distilled the whole 1 hour process down into about 10 questions (can be more, can be less, depending on your circumstances) removing jargon and making the whole process very straightforward, to the point where you don’t need any technical boiler knowledge to get a quote. In fact iHeat claim the entire quoting process online takes less than 30 seconds; here at New-Boiler-Cost.com we are never ones to shy away from a challenge and although the first 3 quotes we completed online took 33, 34 and 32 seconds respectively we did manage to get our 4th quote in 28 seconds!
Which boilers do iHeat install?
iHeat only cater for customers on mains Gas or LPG powered boilers. Anyone requiring Oil or Electric boilers, or indeed those without existing gas central heating will have to look elsewhere for their new boiler. However, iHeat do cater for all gas boiler system types (combi, conventional or regular, system and back boilers) and the vast majority of job types, from the straight forward job of replacing an old combi boiler with a brand new one, to the lot more complex job of removing a back boiler (it’s been illegal to fit a new back boiler since 2005) and replacing with a combi boiler.
In terms of boiler manufacturers iHeat install they have all the major bases covered with the brand installing Worcester Bosch, Vaillant, Ideal, Alpha and Viessmann boilers into homes in the UK.
iHeat pay monthly boiler finance, offers and deals
Step 2 is choosing your new boiler. The results page lists all the available boilers based on your answers to the online questions. Each boiler listing details the kW output (how powerful the boiler is), the total price and monthly finance options available (Buy Now Pay Later at 11.9% APR, pay monthly at 9.9% APR over up to 10 years and on certain boilers 0% APR over up to 2 years), the length of warranty and a list of what is included with each boiler in the quoted price (e.g. flue kit, wireless controls, filter, removal and disposal of old boiler etc). Plus there is the option to view each boiler package in more detail should you wish. The boilers are initially listed by Best Sellers, but you can change the filter and order by Lowest Price, Highest Price or Water Output.
Discount Alert: £30 discount on top of online quoted prices is available by submitting your email address to iHeat, which also has the added benefit of saving your quote and securing your prices for 7 days.
Once you have chosen the right boiler to match your needs onto step 3: simply click “Select Install Date” and choose the most convenient date from the calendar starting from next day availability. There may be demand based pricing options e.g. +£50 for a Saturday installation if that is more convenient. On this page you’ll also be shown a summary of your order and be given the chance to enter an iHeat discount code; enter SAVE50 at this point to receive a further £50 off your quoted installation price.
Select your chosen date and move onto step 4 where you have the chance to upgrade the controls included with your boiler package; most packages include the basic iHeat wireless controls and some customers prefer to upgrade to Nest for +£199 or Hive smart controls for +£179. Of course, if you already have existing smart controls there is a +£5 option to them connected to the new system.
Step 5 is entering personal details and installation address before step 6 payment, where you have the choice of paying monthly through available finance plans (subject to acceptance) or paying by full with your debit or credit card. Click click done – your installation is booked and paid for. iHeat may be in touch for additional clarification and photos prior to your installation date. Please do be aware that if the detail you have submitted to iHeat differs from the reality they find on installation day you may be liable to additional charges e.g. if scaffolding is required for installation or asbestos is found in the property.
Then sit back whilst your new boiler is installed by Gas Safe iHeat engineers.
iHeat Reviews
Independent reviews are an extremely good indictor on the service you can expect to receive as a new customer. And, in this regard, iHeat do not disappoint with a stunning rating on TrustPilot of 4.9 out of 5 from almost four thousand four hundred happy customers. iHeat’s rating on Google reviews is slightly worse at 3.9 out of 5 but given that is only from 12 reviews it doesn’t change the New-Boiler-Cost.com aggregated review score of 4.9 from over 4.4k reviews. Based on this data we think overwhelming majority of new customers who choose iHeat for their new boiler installation will be extremely satisfied with the service they receive.
iHeat Trustpilot Ratings
Indeed, a huge 98% of the Trustpilot reviews are Excellent (93%) or Good (5%) and a tiny 1% rating the service as Bad. A big thumbs up from the Great British public that iHeat is a brand you can trust. When compared to all other boiler installers iHeat are certainly top of the class with BOXT and Heatable. All 3 of these installers have Trustpilot ratings of 4.8 or above AND over 90% of their Trustpilot reviews are 5-stars. Which is worlds apart from the inferred customer dissatisfaction from the bottom 3 in our scale Swale Heating, Eon and British Gas, who all have a TrustPilot rating of below 3.8 and iin the case of British Gas and Eon less than 50% of their reviews are a 5-star rating.

Latest iHeat Combi Boiler Prices
iHeat offer a range of 17 combi boilers across 4 different manufacturers: Worcester Bosch, Viessmann, Ideal and Alpha. Combi boiler installation prices, to replace an old mains gas combi boiler with a new one in the same location, from £1,995 for an Alpha E-Tec 28kW, right up to £3,795 for a Viessmann Vitodens 111-W 32kW. The entry level 28kW Alpha is £115 more than the entry level 28kW Heatline combi boiler quoted by BOXT, however the iHeat installation comes with 10 year warranty as standard vs. only a 2 year as standard with the BOXT installation, albeit you can purchase an extended warranty from BOXT for an additional fee.
A like for like comparison with BOXT on the installation of a Worcester Bosch Greenstar 8000 Life 35kW combi boiler has BOXT edging ahead slightly cheaper than iHeat by £188, both offering a 10 year warranty as standard.
The majority of combi boiler installations offered by iHeat come with a 10 year warranty as standard, apart from their very keenly priced Worcester Bosch Greenstar 2000 30kW (the Greenstar 30i replacement) which comes with a 6 year warranty for a market leading price of £2,295. Of course there is the option to purchase an extended warranty up to the full 10 years for an additional fee.
If you require a vertical flue for your new boiler there is an additional charge, which differs depending on the boiler manufacturer, with iHeat quoting an extra +£430 for Viessmann vertical flues, c. +£500 for Worcester Bosch and +£450 / £460 for Alpha. And should your combi boiler be powered by LPG iHeat offer a range of combi boilers with additional charges of up to +£400 vs. the same boiler fuelled by gas.

Latest iHeat Conventional Boiler Prices
iHeat only offer a very limited range of Conventional boilers; two models to be specific both from Alpha, the E-Tec 15kW and 25kW. So if you’d rather have a bigger household name boiler manufacturer, like Worcester Bosch, then iHeat aren’t the installer for you. However if a really competitively priced replacement conventional boiler is your priority, with a 10 year warranty as standard, iHeat, with conventional installation prices starting at £2,090, could be top of your list of installers.

The range of system boilers offered by iHeat is fairly slim, with Alpha as the only manufacturer being offered in 20kW, 25kW and 30kW guises. All come with 10 year warranty as standard and theyare very keenly priced starting at £1,941, bizarrely the chepest price offered being for the highest output 30kW unit.
If your installation requires a vertical flue it wwill add +£550 onto the toal price and LPG conversion is an additional +£185.

It’s been illegal since 2005 to install Back Boilers and as such the majority of people replace them with Combi boilers when they have come to the end of their useful life. iHeat offer a wide range of Back Boiler to Combi boiler options offering boiler manufacturers uch as Alpha, Worcester Bosch, Ideal and Viessmann. As a general rule this type of installation job costs about £1k more than a straight forward combi-combi swap job, and iHeat are no different here with the incremental cost running from £990 up to £1,380.

Another regular system change is that from a Conventional Boiler to Combi Boiler, usually to free up space by not having a hot water tank and the added convenience of instant hot water from a Combi Boiler.
iHeat charge a premium of between £600 and £940 for this job type above a straight conventional conventional swap due to the additional work required to remove and safely and legally dispose of the old hot water tank.

Obviously the move will cost more as ther will be extra work and additional materials and or pipe runs on top of the boiler replacement. iHeat have a standard policy to simplify this pricing: if the new boiler is to be in the same room but in a different location it will be an extra +£400, any other room same floor will be +£600 unless it is going in the loft or attic and then its an extra +£800 as will be another floor.
