The challenge
Following a renovation, the homeowners found that several rooms became extremely warm during the summer. Their main bedroom was particularly uncomfortable at night, while the open-plan kitchen and living area experienced large temperature changes throughout the day. They initially contacted Eco Happy looking for a practical way to keep these areas cooler during warmer weather.
What Eco Happy recommended
After discussing how the family used the property, Eco Happy recommended installing air conditioning in the main living spaces and bedrooms rather than relying on portable units. The proposed system could provide both cooling and air-to-air heating, giving the homeowners greater control over individual room temperatures throughout the year rather than limiting the system to summer use.
The installation
Eco Happy installed four indoor air conditioning units, with the outdoor equipment positioned discreetly outside the property. Each room can be controlled independently, so the homeowners can heat or cool only the areas they are using. The system also includes app-based control for changing temperatures and operating modes remotely. The full installation was completed in two days.
The results
The homeowners now have much greater control over temperatures in the main rooms of their home throughout the year. The biggest improvement has been in the bedrooms, which can now be kept at a comfortable temperature during hot summer nights. During spring and autumn, the family can also use the system for targeted heating without necessarily heating the whole property.
